Tour at the Z Loft

On the 15th of May, I had a quick meeting with Ms. Arianne Kader, marketing manager, of ZALORA and I got to tour the Z Loft. She told me everything there is to know about ZALORA and I got to see the web geniuses behind this online fashion retailer.

ZALORA was first launched in Singapore in November 2011. In the Philippines, it started in February with just  five employees including Arianne Kader herself. The grand launching was held on May 9 in Skye Launch in Bonifacio Global City. Within just a span of three months, the site has grown immensely now having around 200 employees.

Here are just a few pictures that I took during my tour.
The people behind ZALORA PH.
Here's my photo with the very pretty Arianne Kader. :)

Sorry for the poor quality of the photos, though. I used my iPod Touch for this because my camera's battery was drained. Note to self: don't forget to charge your camera before going somewhere.

Working here seems cool. I might consider a career at ZALORA.  Anyways, that's it for the tour. Now, I can't wait to place an order. Hihihi. :)

Thrift Trip

Thrift trip. It's like a tongue twister. Haha. As promised, this post is about the things that I bought today. And as the title suggests, this shopping trip was very inexpensive compared to all other shopping trips I've had. Really! Which is why I'm particularly giddy at this moment because I got some fab items and I didn't even spend that much. Gee, I'm getting good at this.

Okay, enough raving. Let me show you what I bought. I got myself two pairs of shoes, some accessories, and a bottle of body spray.
Flats from Solemate in SM Department Store. They have this promo
wherein you can buy two pairs for only Php.399. That's less than
$10.00. It was such a steal!
Earrings from The Landmark. I'm into studs nowadays.
Set of bangles from The Landmark.
Red Berries body splash from Zen Zest. This has a sweet smell that I
really like.

All in all, I've spent less than Php.700 on all these items. So that's just around $17.00 or maybe even less. Feel free to correct me if my conversion is wrong. Haha. And that's about it for this post. Find any good deals like these lately? Let me know. :)

Neon Against Dark

Lame title again. Hahaha. Sorry about that. I guess I was just too lazy to think of an interesting title. So today, I had to run some errands. All I did was go to the mall to buy a Mother's Day present for my mom and to pick up the cake that I ordered. I settled for something comfy for my outfit because I had to do a lot of walking around. I wore flip-flops. I honestly didn't know what to buy so I still had to look for a couple of hours. I'm such a crammer! Teehee.

Anyways, here's what I wore today.
Black inner tank top from The Landmark. Neon tank top from
Forever 21. Dark skinny jeans from BNY. Bag from Coach.
I'm rocking the no-makeup look. Lovely ME:EX makeup base from The
Face Shop. Liquid foundation from The Faceshop. Lovely ME:EX
powder and blush from The Face Shop. NYC High Definition mascara.
Maybelline lip gloss.
Pa-cute pose. Teehee. Hype this on Lookbook.nu here.

So that's it. I can't wait for mom to see my gift for her. Haha. Also, my trip to the mall ended up as a mini-shopping spree. I'm gonna show you what I got in my next post so stay tuned for that. :D

Bloggers United Strikes Three!

It's Bloggers United for the third time around and I have three words for you: I AM EXCITED!

The first Bloggers United event I've attended was the second one which was held back in December at Treston International College. I got my passes from the super adorable blogger couple Seph and Shai. Again, a million thanks to them!  It was a memorable experience for me because I got to see my favorite fashion bloggers in person and I got to meet new bloggers worth following.

On its third installment, Bloggers United will be held on June 2 at the Grandview Events Place. It's not just a a fashion bazaar and a venue for interacting with your favorite fashion bloggers, it is also for a good cause as it will benefit Operation Smile Philippines. It's a perfect way to end your summer. See you there!

Stay up-to-date with Bloggers United on Twitter (twitter.com/bloggers_united) and Facebook (facebook.com/bloggersunitedph). You can also visit their official webpage at bloggersunited.org.

Be Beautiful at Any Age with Superfruit Smoothies (Breville x Whatever Eva)

Today’s celebrity-driven culture can often appear obsessed by youth, with scant regard for the older generation on the planet. Yet by the end of this century, it’s estimated that the number of older people in the world will exceed the number of children. On April 7, World Health Day will be drawing attention to how everyday good health can not only add years to your life-span, but also help men and women of all ages extend their ‘active involvement in all levels of society.’

For women across the world, when it comes to ageing, beauty is one of the biggest concerns. The most significant, current trend in the anti-ageing market is ‘beauty from within’, which is shifting attention from crèmes and serums, to what we put into our bodies on a daily basis. Did you know that what we eat forms the building blocks for our skin, hair and nails, yet until recently the beauty industry has focused on topical regimes? Now a growing number of superfruits are leading the new fusion of health and beauty.

Superfruits have high nutritional value and high anti-oxidant capacity, yet their exotic nature can make it difficult to include them in our daily diets.  A quick and easy way to add a healthy boost to your day is to create a superfruit smoothie in a Breville Blender. Here’s a simple smoothie recipe to kick-start your new beauty regime, with tips on how to get the most out of this ultra-healthy drink:
Superfruit Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:
  • ½ cup sliced strawberries
  • ½ cup blueberries
  • ½ cup raspberries
  • ¼ cup blackberries
  • 1 cup of water

Blend together all of the ingredients at high speed until smooth. Then add 2 teaspoons of flaxseed oil, sitting in by hand.

Tips:

  • Make the most out of your fruit by freezing your fruit on the day of purchasing. Peel and slice them beforehand so they can easily be added to a blender, remembering to add less water to maintain a smooth and thick mixture.
  • Whey protein is fantastic for rebuilding damaged muscles and tissue. Add once the ingredients are blended together to avoid damaging the delicate compound.
  • Adding 2 tablespoons of lecithin to your smoothie will help to boost your memory. Pronounced ‘less-a-thin’, this is available as granules or liquid.
